Europe
Western Europe is the largest travel destination in the world. It is the birthplace of Western Civilization and each of us has a different reason for wanting to travel there. For some, it is our heritage and we may want to explore our family roots. For others, it is the rich history of art, architecture, politics and religion which compels us to explore the many different countries that make up Western Europe.
Like most destinations, there are high and low seasons for travel to keep in mind for your sight-seeing goals. High season is mid-spring to early fall, and you can expect higher air and hotel rates. Low season is mid-November to mid-April, when rates are usually lower.
Air transportation to Europe is the choice of 98% of North American travelers. Once travelers arrive, the options for getting around vary from air, train and guided bus tours to driving oneself around. These days adventure walking tours, biking and river barging are also becoming popular.
There are many different travel options to Europe. Call or e-mail us and we can help customize your vacation to meet your specific needs. Some of the services we can help with include:
- Transportation: Airline tickets, rail passes, car rentals or long-term
leases on cars.
- Accommodations: Hotel, small inns, bed and breakfasts. More uncon-
ventional options are castles, manor homes and mansions,
paradores in Spain, posadas in Portugal, and villas in Italy.
- Local and regional sightseeing, transportation and museum passes.
- Coastal cruises and river or barge cruising.
- Arrangement for independent or escorted tours.
